Where can I get free software to help make a website with members?
ByBasically I want to start website where people can socialize and find people they have things in common with but I’m not sure where to get software to help. my site needs to be able to do the following:
-The ability for people to become members and fill out a profile including ticking boxes which say their specific interests and personality type and upload photos and maybe video
-My members need to be able to search specific criteria to find people who have ticked the same interests and/or personality that they are looking for
-My members need to be able to send and receive messages
Also this is going to be a free site so I can’t join any affiliate site as I don’t intend to make any money not to mention most affiliate sites have main things like what you put in a profiles that you can’t change but I’m trying to make something different so I need software than can help me make it from the basics.

You should look into a Content Management System. I suggest trying Joomla, http://www.joomla.org/.

take a free domain and install some scripts in it like v bulletin and stuff like that , plus using front page, that shall do the trick
