affiliate marketing is a great way to earn money online because you don’t have to spend ages and ages creating a product and you don’t need to spend any money to get started.
The major problem, though, is that 97% of people who try and make money with affiliate marketing fail – and that’s because they don’t take the time to learn the necessary skills.
Here’s the thing: affiliate marketing isn’t something that will make you rich overnight (despite the claims on the latest greatest make money online product), however affiliate marketing gives a definite opportunity for anyone to make a decent income online as long as they follow tried and tested proven strategies.
And, as my good friend Shane says, chasing the quick buck is the fastest way to fail. Affiliate marketing requires a little bit of patience and dedication, but the end result is absolutely worthwhile – travel anywhere, look after your family, create an income above many times more than what’s possible working for somebody else. The bottom line is – affiliate marketing gives you freedom.
The affiliate marketing six step process I outline in this video is shown below:-
1. Find a group of people (a niche) who have a problem that they’ll pay to have a solution to.
2. Build a web site in that niche
3. Capture the names and email addresses of visitors to your page (build your list)
4. Provide genuine value to your subscribers so that they realise that you’re not just out to make a quick buck from them!
5. Promote affiliate offers through email marketing
6. Drive more and more traffic to your web site.

Hi Guys, this is James Young and I am here today to talk to you about MLM and affiliate marketing. And this video is mainly made to clear up a few things for people particularly on YouTube. Those of you who follow me on YouTube, I think some of you are a little bit confused or maybe not as informed on how I make money as people who follow my blog and websites because I am getting a lot of questions for my opinion on various MLM programs and MLM is something I do not do. I am an affiliate Marketer and I make money as an affiliate. MLM which stands for Multi-level Marketing is where you have a product that is being pushed through multiple levels. So, let’s say you sign up for a program and they have a product that you are going to sell. And, you make money every time you sell this product. But, you also make money when you recruit people to sign up for the program and sell. So, when they sign up for the program you make money and when they sell product you make money and that continues on 3, 4, 5, 6 levels deep. So, you got this team or this downline of people that are selling for you and you make money on your sales and your team sales. That is the general concept of MLM.
Affiliate marketing, which is what I do, and I make a full time living doing it. It’s more of a one on one or one to one relationship where I sign up for a company, just say Amazon.com’s affiliate program and they give me the affiliate links to promote on my website or blog and anytime a product is purchased as a result of my referral, I earn a commission and it ends there.
I don’t recruit people to also sign up with Amazon.com and make money on their sales. NO. I just focus on my content, my blog, recommend products that I like and then make money that way.
