I guarantee I’ll see the first president of this country who puts agnostic (or hopefully atheist) as their religious belief rather than Christian.

According to a 2007 Pew poll, the number of "non-affiliated" Americans was 16.1%, up from 8% just one decade before. This number is nearly 25% in the under 25 age group. And 55% of those who self-identify as "atheists" are under 35. So yes, the trend is that America is getting less religious and more and more young people in particular are turning away from religion.

I recently applied for a job and received a call back via email since the email my computer has been acting pretty strange for instant it runs slow and before it didn’t. Okay so Im a freshman in HighSchool, and I’ve been dealing with some problems at school that I want to try to fix, but I just don’t know how to. Let me just say, i’ve made some bad choices in the past, but Im trying to get past them, and it seems like nobody else is willing to overlook them.

Let me start by explaining what has happened…
This has been going on since around February of this year.
Well I’ve been doing drugs and hurting people, everyone tells me Im f**ked up, and its annoying because the kids I hang around think its fine, but the majority doesn’t, especially my parents who are just about through with me.
Basically I’ve done Speed,Pot,Coke,Acid,Hash,Dip,Ciggs,PCP and Alcohol, and kids find out and get all pissy and everyone just tells me I’ve changed, well Im trying to get better, and I stopped all the drugs except Occasional Pot and Alcohol and like one cigarette every weekend or so. I’ve cut done a lot, and Im trying to be nicer to guys and kinder to girls. Plus every time I like a girl, their friends have to point out how Im not a virgin. I just want to be looked at as a normal guy, but instead I’ve got the school cop watching my every move, and yelling at me or my crew for just talking. I just want to be accepted like everyone else, because physically I look like an average kid, Im not all cracked out or something. Also my grades have been pretty low, but can range from A’s to D’s most my teachers are on me, all the time. But my biggest problem is my parents not trusting me, and just not feeling good about me, kind of like Im an embarrassment. I used to be able to do whatever I wanted and go wherever I wanted, but not I have to explain my every move, and feel my parents being paranoid every time I take a crap. Also, I’m going to a rehab building once a week now, but It was previously 3 times a week court ordered, now Its once a week because of my being "clean." I’ve been going to rehab for about 3 months and I have another 3 to go… I feel like everyone just expects me to screw up and theres no way to become a good kid again. I also used to be a pretty good athlete, playing baseball, and worked out like everyday, but now I just feel like crap, and I cant even BMX anymore because of a drug dealer stealing my bike.

If somebody could give me some advice, It would be greatly appreciated. Theres probably a lot Im not telling you, but i feel done for now.

I just feel like i’ve lived way to much of my life, and Im only 14.
I stopped dealing drugs however, even though I used to pocket a thousand a week, rolling with the big boys, but I don’t care about the money anymore, i’ve given that up, yet still, drugs and drama follow me wherever I go, my uncle just died today, and my other uncle was just sent to jail for life about a week ago, for being a leader of a mob drug deal, plus my other uncle killed himself over heroin and my grandfather shot his brains out over drugs… now I have yet another uncle still hustlin’ Im not affiliated with them, and not many kids know about it, but I just cant seem to catch a break. I just want to hear feedback from another person, I just want to be a good kid again…

Once you get away from the drugs and the influences, things will make a lot more sense. The money will only become more of a burden when you have to use it to bail yourself or one of your "friends" out of jail. You wouldn’t be putting this out there if you didn’t see a problem.
