Where are the Reichtwing comments about Palin’s unpatriotic affiliation with a separatist group in Alaska?

By

Where are the diatribes directed at Palin’s treason?
Where are the rabid rants about Palin’s association with a group which absolutely HATES America?

I’ve been waiting for weeks to read them scream and rant and yell about how Palin hates America so much she wants Alaska to NOT be a part of America.

Where are all the Reichtwingers on this subject? Are only Democrats held to stringent requirements of the Reichtwing definition of "patriotism?"

The legitimate media does not engage in blowing up this type of association – only Fox news and their Republican affiliated NY Post.

And since THEY are pretty much just a media outlet for the Republican Party, you will never see it there, either.

She hasn’t committed treason. Even if she were affiliated with such a group, it still would not be treason. Thanks to the Bill of Rights, we as Americans are entitled to free speech. The KKK still exists, and it’s not illegal to be a member. The same could be said about the Nazi party.

"Where are the rabid rants about Palin’s association with a group which absolutely HATES America?"
Palin was never in the group you speak of. Her husband was. And he isn’t anymore. Obama isn’t being criticized because he hangs around with people who hang around with terrorists. He’s being criticized because he hangs around with terrorists. You’re missing an entire degree of separation– outright ignoring it to make your propaganda seem more effective. Finally, even Obama has said that family matters are not fair game for this election. Your own candidate wouldn’t condone your attacking Palin’s family, and yet you do it anyway.

She has NEVER been a member of the Alaskan Independence Party.

"Palin was never a member of the Alaskan Independence Party – which calls for a vote on whether Alaska should secede from the union or remain a state – despite mistaken reports to the contrary. But her husband was a member for years, and she attended at least one party convention, as mayor of the town in which it was held.

The party’s chair originally told reporters that Palin had been a member, but the official later retracted that statement. Chairwoman Lynette Clark told the New York Times that false information had been given to her by another member of the party after she first told the Times and others that Palin joined the AIP in 1994. Clark issued an apology on the AIP Web site.

The director of Alaska’s Division of Elections, Gail Fenumiai, confirms that Palin registered to vote in the state for the first time in May 1982 as a Republican and hasn’t changed her party affiliation since. She also told FactCheck.org that Palin’s husband, Todd, was registered with AIP from October 1995 to July 2000, and again from September 2000 until July 2002. (He has since been registered as undeclared.) However, the AIP says Todd Palin "never participated in any party activities aside from attending a convention in Wasilla at one time."

There is still some dispute as to whether Sarah Palin also attended the AIP’s 1994 convention, held in Wasilla. Clark and another AIP official told ABC News’ Jake Tapper that both Palins were there. Palin was elected mayor of Wasilla two years later. The McCain campaign says Sarah Palin went to the 2000 AIP convention, also held in Wasilla, “as a courtesy since she was mayor.” As governor, Palin sent a video message to the 2008 convention, which is available on YouTube, and the AIP says she attended in 2006 when she was campaigning."

As for Palin, I guess they think it’s OK because her daughter didn’t have an abortion, and as a matter of fact, she didn’t either. So she could make animal sacrifices and speak in tongues and it would be alright with the righties.

Oh wait, she already does that.

    Hah.

Many within the far-reich circles actually praise Palin’s association with a seccessionist group. These "states-rights" history revisionists long for the bad old days of "separate but equal" and even attempt to morally justify the despicable policies of antebellum America.

You know the answer to that. These are REPUBLICANS. The same people who still villify Bill Clinton for getting a BJ while treating Newt Gingrich, Rudy Giuliani, and John McCain as heroes. I don’t need to remind anyone that all three of these guys cheated on their wives multiple times; and in the case of Gingrich – even while he was leading the rants and raves and impeachment proceedings for Clinton.

It seems it is a terrible thing to have a pastor who has been a victim of racism his entire life and said a few negative things about the U.S. over a 20 year period. But its fine for well to do Alaskans to want to secede from that same country. And having your own president claim that the U.S. constitution is just a "goddamn piece of paper" as George Bush did, is just venting.
