Just remember that for everyone who visits your site there are thousands that know nothing about you. If you have good quality content you don’t want to be changing it continuously.
You need to concentrate on getting links back into your site. Submit some articles to other webmasters, leave comments on other blogs and forums. Just make sure they are relevant.
Also promote your site to get traffic by using social networking sites.
I’ve only dabbled in affiliates, but if your aiming for raising your ratings on search engines, you want to make large changes at least every 7-10 days. This way the bots sent by the search engines will refresh your pages.

From an SEO point of view as often as possible. Refreshing your homepage is also integral if you want a sustainable approach to appearing high within search engines. Try adding unique news and articles whenever you can.

By adding fresh content to your site and putting a note that your site is updated frequently, visitors may keep returning. Even if they didn’t buy from you the first time they may do at the second or third visit.
