How can the Philippines become a tourism billionaire?
By · CommentsA recent report from the United Nations-affiliated World Tourism Organization showed that last 2010, more than a billion tourists spent over US$1 trillion traveling around the world. Their top 10 destinations are: (1) France, (2) the United States, (3) Spain, (4) China, (5) Italy, (6) Great Britain, (7) Turkey, (8) Germany, (9) Malaysia and (10) Mexico.
It’s very interesting to note that the only Southeast Asia country in the top 10 is Malaysia. As the writer of the news article pointed out, Malaysia had 23.6 million visitors who spent $30 billion in tourism, that is so much more than the remittance of $18.7 billion of all our OFWs last year.
There is obviously so much opportunity in tourism that our country has yet to tap on. If Malaysia, a country with very similar tourist attractions like the Philippines, can attract that many people and earn that much money from tourism, what is hindering us from doing the same? What do we need to do or change or improve in order for our country to be a tourism billionaire as well.
The Philippines doesn’t have to entirely clean up, all neat and tidy and all that. We just need to know what market segment we play best. We could identify all these countries and peoples. If we can know that, then we will know who they are, how they work, how they live, how they play, what they want. I mean does everybody really, really want to go to Turkey, or Great Britain. This way, the government knows how and where to put its limited money.
DOT already knows what, how, and where are the Philippines’ best tourist and vacation spots. These sites should be promoted properly and marketed accordingly. But that’s just the first part. DOT needs to identify how and in what way would foreign tourists get to the Philippines and to the different tourist spots. DOT should make it easy and memorable for them. Every gesture must be backed up accordingly to the actual touring and vacationing. No bloated statements, no overrated slogans. They cannot afford to guess if the tourists are satisfied, felt let down, or totally disappointed. They are here to have fun and not feel sorry.
One more thing is infrastructure (roads, transport), facilities (even the miniscule CR must not be overlooked), and security that would resemble or exceed tourists expectations and what they are accustomed to back home. The national government, LGUs, and the different tourist groups must be united. Political will is also important. Also as important is that local inhabitants in the many tourist spots must be willing. They should be accommodating, able to share their knowledge to foreigners about their area, and can make every tourist’s stay as memorable as possible. After all, it is them and their place that will become famous.
I am interested in doing affiliate marketing part-time, but I am so not good at knowing what is a scam, and the internet can be overwhelming with this. If you have had a good experience with any of these companies and have actually gotten paid for advertising for them. Please let me know.

Chi Square and Coorelation Analysis?
By · CommentsChi Square and Coorelation Analysis?
What are similarities between a chi square analysis and a coorelation analysis? Suppose you conducted a study to see of there was an association between political party affiliation and whether or not someone voted. What type of analysis would you use and why?
ANSWER: Chi-square isn’t similar to a coorelation analysis in the least. The type of analysis you need for studying "association" is coorelation analysis to determine the relationship between the two variables of party and voting frequency.

My question is very straight. i want to start a business. but not enough money to invest so i heard about affiliate marketing. so how can i use this strategy. for it can i need website? what basic things are needed for start a online affiliate business?
This is not an easy road to travel, but if you have the stamina to hold on through the ups and downs and not give up, you may just have a chance.
You’ll need to learn many things, I’ve read hundreds of books on things like:
• Consumer psychology
• Programming language
• Web design
• Internet marketing
• The psychology of colour
Also note, I don’t mean scammy earn x in a day ebooks, I mean university level text books.
You’ll need to become an expert, an authority in your field and really have something to offer the consumer, find the questions they want to know about your product and tell them.
Most importantly be honest, don’t lie and tell them it’s the perfect product for an extra dollar, be honest in the good and the bad. They’ll appreciate your honesty and come back for information about other products.
You’ll best want your own website with its own domain name. Though I really dislike GoDaddy, I’ll still recommend them today because… I can’t think of an alternative with reasonable price and support. Though don’t get any of their add-ons other than maybe domain privacy. The rest are just junk trying to scam the money out of you.
Get some multi-domain unlimited hosting * as long as you’re not trying to do anything illegal or be the new youtube or a downloading service, it’s effectively unlimited *.
I used to use http://www.hostmonsterplus.com however their service quality has dropped.
I’m now happily using HostGator.
http://www.hostgator25.com <=== 25% discount
http://www.hostgator995.com <=== $9.95 discount (minimum 1c)
With the $9.95 you can try their hosting for 1 month for 1c as a trial to see if you like it.
Of course you can use their manual coupons too
PERMANENT25 <=== 25% discount
PERMANENT995 <=== $9.95 discount (minimum 1c)
You would want their "baby croc" plan that allows you to host as many .com’s as you like for 1 price.
Once you have a domain you can use "Quick Install" to install a WordPress blog in just a couple of clicks.
At this point you can customize your WordPress and start posting articles. When you find it convenient you can strategically add an affiliate link here and there. But make sure you keep it clean, honest and professional. If you go the road of being spammy and adding affiliate links everywhere you’ll lose out in the long run.
At this point you’ll need to do some marketing of your blog, you can write articles, do some search engine optimization (too big a topic for here). You can contribute to discussions elsewhere and have a subtle link to your site. But once again no spam, it’s better to have one link that is attached to a quality post that will make people respect you than 30 links attached to spam posts that will only damage your reputation.
You can also add google ads to your website for a little extra cash if you like.
Once all this is done keep marketing it and adding content and consider buying another $10 a year domain and since you bought the baby croc plan you can attach it to your hosting account for free without paying a cent more and start the process all over again. This way each extra site will be cheaper overall.
Once you get this pattern working the money really starts to grow, and the first time you make your first commission is a great feeling, I still remember it.

question for a Scotsman or Scotland national?
By · Commentshow did the Scot’s become a celtic nation? The biological and historical connection the Scots have with Celtic populations is equal to that of the English. The Scots language is a West Germanic language that has no connection to any Celtic language and has a very strong connection with old English, Norwegian, and other extinct West Germanic languages. The Scots language is descended from the language of the Angles who settled in northern Britain, in an area now known as North Umbria in the 5th century AD. The term “Scot” which refers to the Scottish people did not exist in “Scotland” until the late 4th century, comes from the Irish Gaelic word “Scottie”. The “Scottie” was an Irish tribe that settled in what would be the highlands of Scotland around that time. This Irish tribe in the north of the country was culturally, biologically, and linguistically completely different from the “Scots” of the lowlands. The people of the highlands of Scotland have always been a minority with the exception of the 9th-11th centuries when the highlander clans obtained dominants over the lowlands and the nationalized language of the military and courts was for a relatively brief period Gaelic. I am not arguing whether or not the Scots blended or assimilated into a Germanic Anglo-Saxon culture. All cultures and ethnic groups are never completely homogeneous. I am simply stating the fact that the Scots are primarily a Germanic people and not a Celtic people. Unlike the Irish, welsh, Cornish, or Bretons which are or once were legitimate Celtic populations prior to the Germanic invasions. This is not meant to be an attack on Scottish identity. I am just stating historical facts. Celtic populations existed all over Europe. The Celts were among the last of the mass nomadic populations of Europe. The Balkans, Asia minor, and the Iberian peninsula all used to have very large Celtic populations. I am not trying to change history. The affiliations and associations have already been established. In my personal opinion the only reason Scots took on a Celtic identity was for alliance purposes. To deter to crown of England from Scotland and to secure national sovereignty and create strong allies. This strategy ultimately failed. I liken this to all the tens of millions of Berbers of north Africa that call themselves Arabs when the Berbers are not even remotely related to Semitic peoples.
i’m not scottish, but i know enough to tell you that lowland scots and highland scots have very different cultures,historically speakin. ur right in sayin that lowland scots is a germanic language and the people are probably more germanic too,probably due to their proximy to england. highland scots on the other hand are much more celtic and gaelic. gaidhlig or scots gaelic is a celtic language descended from old irish. this is because irish people set up a kingdom in north western scotland known as the dal riada. these people either absorbed or dislaced the native picts hence the gaelic culture that we find in highland scotland today.
